Public Interest Criteria (“PIC”) 4020 was introduced in April 2011 to reduce the level of fraud found in visa applications, and originally only applied to General Skilled Migration and Employer Sponsored visa subclasses.

On 1 July 2011 a new points test will come into force for a number of skilled migration visa applications.  

From 22 September 2010, it is possible for applicants in NSW to obtain a waiver of the health criterion where they have applied for the following permanent visas
